Some of the best baits a fisherman can have are softbaits. When choosing a soft bait you should look at Hand poured baits, rather than mass - produced softbaits. The are many reasons for this like, quality, durability, and softness. Also beacuse Hand poured baits are open at the top, the plastics have a flat side. This is an advantage when drop shotting. It is also easier to correctley place the hool along the flat surface, which helps you rig consistently. Also a main disffrence is the viscioty and durometer readings of the materials used. Using gravity for molding, hand pourers have a much wider lattitude in materials-ranging from some of the toughest plastics, to the very softest. When molding under pressure like the mass - produced softbaits, the lattitude is diminished. For pressure to work there has to be fristion. This means injestion molded baits are usuelyt tougher, and stiffer plastic.
